Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering at NIT Andhra Pradesh

About the position

NIT Andhra Pradesh invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering. The post is in a DRDO Armament Research Board (ARMREB) sponsored project titled "Investigation on Corrosion Resistance of High Nitrogen Steel for Armor and Structural Applications". The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project. The appointment is for six months or till the end of the project, subject to performance.

Eligibility

• B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech (first class, i.e. 60% or 6.5 CGPA) from a recognized University/Institute in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any allied branches.
• Candidates without GATE qualification are also eligible.
• Applicants in the final semester of M.E/M.Tech are also eligible. They must submit the degree certificate at the time of joining if selected.
• Eligibility in terms of age, qualification and experience is considered as on the last date for receipt of applications.
• Investigators: Dr. Raffi Mohammed (DMME, NIT Andhra Pradesh), Dr. Kiran Teeparthi (DEE, NIT Andhra Pradesh), Dr. Ramavath Bheekya Naik (DMME, NIT Raipur).

Fellowship / pay

• Rs. 37,000/- per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per Institute rules for candidates having GATE qualification.
• Rs. 30,000/- per month + HRA as per Institute rules for candidates not having GATE qualification.
• The selected candidate will be encouraged to register for Ph.D. at NIT Andhra Pradesh, subject to institute norms.
