Guest Faculty (GF), Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Panjab University

About the position

Panjab University, Chandigarh invites applications for one Guest Faculty (Assistant Professor) post. The post is in the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. It is temporary and for the academic session 2026-27. Selection is through interview.

Eligibility

• M.Sc./M.Tech. in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology/Renewable Energy/Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science with good academic record, at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Physically & Visually handicapped) or equivalent grade, from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
• Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR.
• Candidates who have or are awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 are exempted from the NET requirement.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in Faculty of Science or Faculty of Engineering with demonstrated research experience in Renewable Energy or Nanoscience & Nanotechnology or Materials Science, supported by research publications in peer reviewed journals or patents.

Fellowship / pay

• Honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per lecture, with an upper limit of Rs. 50,000/- per month.
• The candidate must undertake not to draw any fellowship, stipend or financial assistance from any agency while teaching at the Centre as Guest Faculty.

3. Submit it so that it reaches the office of the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Panjab University, on or before 5 Nov 2026, 5:00 pm.
4. If shortlisted, attend the interview with original certificates and documents for verification. No TA/DA is paid.
