Project Associate-I (PA), AI in Material Science at Panjab University

About the position

Panjab University, Chandigarh invites applications for two Project Associate-I posts. The work is on using AI in Material Science/Characterization under a CSR grant. The Principal Investigator is Professor Gaurav Verma (CIL/SAIF/UCIM/RSIC). The initial tenure is one year, renewable for up to two more years.

Eligibility

• Minimum: Master's degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, MVSc, or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognised university or equivalent.
• Desirable: M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Bio-Technology, Bioinformatics or related disciplines, OR M.Tech/M.E in Chemical, Biochemical, Biotechnology Engineering, Materials, Nanotechnology or equivalent. Experience in physical and chemical analysis, AI (coding) and instrumentation is desirable.
• Age: preferably not more than 35 years as on the closing date.

Fellowship / pay

• ₹31,000 + HRA for scholars selected through (a) CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or (b) a national level examination conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
• ₹25,000 + HRA for others.
• The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
