Project Associate-I (PA-I), Chemistry at CSIR-CGCRI Kolkata

About the position

CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR-CGCRI), Kolkata, invites applications for one Project Associate-I. The post is in project OLP2320, sponsored by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The project is titled "Development of advanced bioceramic and bioactive glass based multi-functional systems for orthopedic reconstruction, dental restoration and wound healing applications". The tenure is initially 1 year, extendable up to 31.03.2031 based on availability of funds.

Eligibility

• Essential: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Specialization in Physical / Inorganic) / Applied Chemistry / Materials Science / Microbiology with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA.
• Or: B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. in Materials Science / Material Science and Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering / Ceramics / Chemical / Biotechnology / Biomedical Engineering.
• Desirable: Experience on materials synthesis or manufacturing and physical / chemical / biological testing of materials will be given preference.
• Age limit: 35 years as on date of interview. Relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female candidates, and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
• Bonafide Indian citizens only. Candidates with results awaited are not eligible.
• Candidates engaged in another project must furnish an NOC from their present Project Leader.

Fellowship / pay

Stipend: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + HRA as admissible.
