About the position

CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR-CGCRI), Kolkata, invites applications for one Project Associate-I (PA-I). The post is under the CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative project (Project No. HCP002502), sponsored by CSIR. The position is tenable at CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata. Post code: 54/2627/01.

Eligibility

• Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Ceramic / Materials Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA, or M.Sc in Chemistry / Physics with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA.
• Desirable: Preference to candidates with research experience in nano-materials synthesis and characterisation.
• Age limit: 35 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female candidates, and by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
• Candidates with results awaited are not eligible.
• Candidates already engaged in a project must furnish an NOC from their existing Project Leader.

Fellowship / pay

• Stipend: Rs. 25,000/- + HRA.
• Tenure: initially up to 31.03.2027, extendable up to 31.03.2030 based on availability of funds.
