Project Assistant-II (PA-II), Physics / Electronics at CSIR-CGCRI Kolkata

About the position

CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR-CGCRI), Kolkata, invites applications for one Project Assistant-II post. The post is for the project "Development of YB-fiber Laser Source at 1 um", sponsored by Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (project code CLP0107). The tenure is initially 1 year, extendable up to 24.11.2027 depending on availability of funds.

Eligibility

• Essential: B.Sc. (Physics / Electronics) or 3 years Diploma in Engineering / Technology in Electronics or Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent, with minimum 60% marks/GPA.
• Desirable: experience in electrical, electronics or machine handling. Proficiency in basic computer skills, word, power-point etc. Lab skills in optics/fiber optics/optomechanics and electrical wire handling/soldering.
• Age limit: 35 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female candidates, and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) candidates.
• Bonafide Indian citizens only. Candidates with results awaited are not eligible.
• Candidates already engaged in a project must submit an NOC from their present Project Leader.

Fellowship / pay

Stipend of Rs. 20,000/- + HRA. An increment of 15% applies after 3 years of experience in the same project.
