Project Assistant (PA), Civil Engineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi

About the position

IIT (BHU) Varanasi invites applications for a Project Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering. The post is at the Smart Laboratory on Clean Rivers (SLCR) Secretariat, set up under the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) framework. The initial appointment is valid until August 2027 and ends with the project. The number of posts is not stated for this position.

Eligibility

• Graduation in Science or Engineering fields OR 3 years Diploma in Engg. & Technology with knowledge related to water quality sampling and testing including the application of NbS system.
• Desirable: basic proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, CorelDraw, Illustrator, OR experience with specialized software such as SWAT, QGIS, ArcGIS, Remote Sensing or project management software.
• Desirable: strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Desirable: additional certifications in relevant technical fields or project management.
• Relaxation of marks and age may be granted to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Women/physically challenged candidates. Age relaxation is 5 years for Female/SC/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC-NCL.

Fellowship / pay

20,000/- per month + HRA. HRA is given as per Government norms.
