Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Civil Engineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi

About the position

IIT (BHU) Varanasi invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Civil Engineering. The post is at the Smart Laboratory on Clean Rivers (SLCR) Secretariat, Department of Civil Engineering, under the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) framework. The initial appointment is valid until August 2027 and ends with the project. The number of posts is not stated for this position.

Eligibility

• Master's Degree in Science and Engg in the field of Hydraulics / River Engineering / Water Resources / Geoinformatics with GATE / NET or any equivalent national level examination qualified.
• Desirable: understanding of river ecosystems, water quality assessment and environmental science.
• Desirable: experience with fieldwork and environmental monitoring.
• Desirable: proficiency in statistical software, data analysis tools, Python and GIS.
• Relaxation of marks and age may be granted to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Women/physically challenged candidates. Age relaxation is 5 years for Female/SC/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC-NCL.

Fellowship / pay

37,000/- per month + HRA. HRA is given as per Government norms.
