Research Associate-I (RA-I), Civil Engineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi

About the position

IIT (BHU) Varanasi invites applications for a Research Associate-I in Civil Engineering. The post is at the Smart Laboratory on Clean Rivers (SLCR) Secretariat, Department of Civil Engineering, under the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) framework. The initial appointment is valid until August 2027 and ends with the project. The number of posts is not stated for this position.

Eligibility

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree, or 3 years of research and teaching experience after M.Sc./M.Tech. with at least 1 paper in an SCI journal.
• Essential specialization: design and implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for treating waste water; hydrological/hydrogeological modelling.
• Desirable: expertise in GIS/Remote Sensing/river ecosystems, water quality analysis and sustainable environmental practices.
• Desirable: experience with advanced research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
• Desirable: proficiency in scientific software, statistical tools and research equipment.
• Desirable: excellent written and verbal communication, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relaxation of marks and age may be granted to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Women/physically challenged candidates. Age relaxation is 5 years for Female/SC/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC-NCL.

Fellowship / pay

58,000/- per month + HRA. HRA is given as per Government norms.
