Research Associate (RA), Physics at JNCASR Bengaluru

About the position

JNCASR Bengaluru invites applications for a temporary Research Associate position. The work is under Prof. Bivas Saha at the CPMU & ICMS Unit, Jakkur, Bengaluru. The desirable skills are in first-principles DFT calculations. The number of posts is not stated.

Eligibility

• Essential: Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree, OR three years of research, teaching, design and development after MVSc/M.Pharm/M.E/M.Tech with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.
• Age limit: 35 years.
• Desirable: strong expertise in first-principles density-functional theory (DFT) calculations, including electronic-structure analysis, phonon and magnetization calculations, and experience with advanced workflows such as EPW and related computational techniques.
• Those in employment or pursuing a Ph.D. must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer or Ph.D. supervisor.

Fellowship / pay

Remuneration Rs.47,000/-, Rs.49,000/- and Rs.54,000/- plus 24% HRA. Remuneration will be fixed based on experience.
