Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Biochemistry at Central University of Rajasthan

About the position

Central University of Rajasthan invites applications for Project Staff (SRF/JRF) in the Department of Biochemistry. The post is on the ANRF funded project "Development of bacteriophage tail protein-based therapeutics targeting carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii and its biofilm". The Principal Investigator is Dr. Vishvanath Tiwari. The project runs for 3 years (2026 to 2029) and the appointment is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility

• JRF: Master's degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or an allied subject, with a strong academic record and minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• SRF: the above qualifications plus two (2) years of research experience (mandatory).
• Desirable: working experience in gene cloning and expression, drug designing, molecular biology and animal cell culture.
• Preference will be given to a suitable SRF candidate.

Fellowship / pay

• SRF: Rs. 42,000 + 10% HRA
• JRF: Rs. 37,000 + 10% HRA (if a suitable SRF candidate is not available)
• The appointment is initially for one year, renewable every year based on performance.
• Bachelor accommodation in the university may be provided on payment, subject to availability.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
