Project Assistant-I (PA-I), Biotechnology at IASST Guwahati

About the position

The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati invites applications for one Project Assistant-I post in Life Sciences. The post is on a contractual basis under an ANRF funded project on genomic and phylogenetic analysis of Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri from major citrus-growing regions in India. The initial appointment is for one year and may be extended. The post is co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology / Agr. Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Pharmacy / Botany from a recognized university.
• Desirable: Master's degree in Biotechnology / Agr. Biotechnology / Microbiology / Plant Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Pharmacy / Botany from a recognized university.
• Age limit: 28 years (relaxation as per GOI guidelines).
• Duties: conducting experiments, assisting in experimental preparations, organising data collection and writing manuscripts for publication.

Fellowship / pay

Stipend of Rs 27,000.00 per month (consolidated). No TA/DA is provided for attending the interview.
