Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Chemistry at IISER Bhopal

About the position

IISER Bhopal invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Chemistry. The post is in a CSIR funded project under the ASPIRE scheme. The project is titled "Synthesis of Biomass-derived Carbon-based Gas Diffusion Layers (GDLs) for Application in Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel cells and Electrolyzers". The post is temporary and contractual, with a project tenure of 24 months.

Eligibility

• B.S. 4 years programme / Integrated BS-MS / MSc / BE / BTech or equivalent degree (in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / allied areas), with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.
• The candidate should have knowledge or experience in electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, electrochemical sensors, and material synthesis, particularly electrocatalysts for fuel cells and energy conversion applications.
• The candidate should know different physical, chemical and functional characterization techniques.
• Experience in electrochemical characterization techniques for three-electrode systems and fuel cells (potentiostats / electrochemical workstations) is desired.
• Scientific reporting and presentation skills, team coordination, and results analysis and interpretation are desired.

Fellowship / pay

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs.37,000/-p.m.
