Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Mathematics at IISER Thiruvananthapuram

About the position

IISER Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post on a contract basis. The post is on the externally funded project "Diophantine approximation with prime restriction", funded by ANRF. The subject area is mathematics, with a preference for algebraic number theory.

Eligibility

• Minimum educational qualification: as prescribed by the funding agency.
• Experience required: as given in the attached advertisement document.
• Desirable: candidates with a background in algebraic number theory will be preferred.
• Age: below 25 years.

Fellowship / pay

• Rs. 37000 + HRA for the first 2 years.
• Rs. 42000 + HRA for the 3rd year.
• Tenure: 1 year, extendable to two or more depending on the candidate's performance.
• Number of posts: one.
