Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar

About the position

IIT Bhubaneswar invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow post in the Department of Minerals Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The post is on the project "Development and characterization of ultralow thermal conductivity Carbon Aerogel composites for space applications" (RP424). The Principal Investigator is Kodanda Ram Mangipudi. The project is sponsored by SERB. Tenure is 6 months.

Eligibility

• ME/M.Tech./MS(Research) or equivalent in any specialization of Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Science / Metallurgical and Materials Science / Metallurgical and Materials Engineering / Ceramic Engineering / Industrial Metallurgy / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Chemical Engineering / any allied branches.
• (OR) M.Sc. Physics who is GATE or CSIR-UGC NET (LS) or JAM or JEST qualified.
• (OR) B.E/B.Tech. or equivalent in any specialization of Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Science / Metallurgical and Materials Science / Metallurgical and Materials Engineering / Ceramic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / any allied branches from any Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10.0-point scale (or equivalent).
• (OR) B.E/B.Tech. or equivalent in the same branches from any non-CFTI with a valid qualified GATE score.
• Research experience is preferable but not mandatory as JRF. As SRF, two years of research experience is mandatory.

Fellowship / pay

Upto Rs.37000 + HRA @18% FOR JRF AND 42000 + HRA @18% FOR SRF(depending upon qualification & experience)
