About the position

IIT Dharwad invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions to work on various sponsored R&D projects across its ten departments. The post is a project position and candidates are empanelled in a rolling database rather than against a single fixed vacancy. Tenure is co-terminus with the relevant project.

Eligibility

Post Graduate degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate degree in a professional course, selected through: a) National Eligibility Test, CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) and GATE, or b) selection through a national level examination conducted by Central Govt departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Fellowship / pay

₹31,000 per month, as per SERB norms (OM dated 23 April 2019).
