Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Civil Engineering at IIT Palakkad

About the position

IIT Palakkad invites applications for one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in Civil Engineering. The post is in a project funded by KHRI. The project areas are road safety and surrogate safety measures. The appointment is till 31 July 2027.

Eligibility

• B. Tech. in Civil Engineering with at least 65% marks.
• M. Tech. in Transportation Engineering with M. Tech. Dissertation in Transportation Systems with at least 75% marks.
• At least 3 years' research experience in road safety. Publication history preferable.
• Age: not exceeding 35 years as on the closing date of application. Relaxation for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories and women applicants as per Government of India norms.
• Required skills: proficiency in road safety analysis, surrogate safety methods, on-road data collection experience, UAV-based data collection experience, good written and oral communication skills, technical writing experience.

Fellowship / pay

• Monthly remuneration of Rs. 42,000/- (Forty-Two Thousand Rupees Only).
• Hostel accommodation may be provided at the institute on a chargeable basis, subject to availability.
• If the institute hostel is not available, admissible HRA is provided as per Government of India rules.
