Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Environmental Sciences at Central University of Jammu

About the position

Central University of Jammu invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in Environmental Sciences. The post is under the Indo-Swiss Joint Research Project "Ice nucleating particles and cloud condensation nuclei properties in the North-Western Himalayas (ICE-CRUNCH)", done with ETH Zurich. It sits in the Department of Environmental Sciences, and the Principal Investigator is Dr. Shweta Yadav. The post is on contract for one year or until the project ends, whichever is earlier. The project is funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).

Eligibility

• Qualification prescribed for JRF (M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences / Atmospheric Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks and NET/GATE examination qualified) with two years of research experience.
• Desirable: in-depth knowledge of aerosol measurement techniques and data analysis using MATLAB, Python or similar software or languages. Such candidates will be given preference.
• Desirable for SRF: publication of at least one paper in a peer reviewed SCI indexed journal in the relevant field.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 42,000 + 8% HRA (consolidated monthly fellowship).
