Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Postdoctoral Fellow, Electronics Engineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi

About the position

IIT (BHU) Varanasi invites applications for one Senior Research Fellow or Postdoctoral Fellow position in Electronics Engineering. The post is under the research project "Empowering Sixth Sense Capabilities of Communication Network: Design and Development of Test-Bed for RIS-enabled Joint Sensing and Communication Systems". The project is sponsored by the Technology Development Fund (TTDF), Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. The Principal Investigator is Dr Atul Kumar. The position is temporary and coterminous with the project.

Eligibility

Indian nationals only.

If the candidate has a PhD degree:

• PhD with First Class in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the discipline/specialization concerned or in an allied discipline/area.
• 3 years of research experience.

If the candidate has an M.Tech. degree:

• M.Tech. with First Class in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the discipline/specialization concerned or in an allied discipline/area.
• B.Tech with First Class in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the discipline/specialization concerned or in an allied discipline/area.
• 2 years of research experience.

If the candidate has a B.Tech. degree only:

• B.Tech with a First Class in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the discipline/specialization concerned or in an allied discipline/area.
• 2 years of research experience.

Desirable:

• Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC).
• Expertise in Physical Layer Design for wireless communication systems.
• Knowledge of synchronization techniques for communication and sensing systems.
• Experience in FPGA-based implementation of ISAC systems.

Fellowship / pay

• Emoluments: Rs 42,000 to 47,000 per month, based on experience.
• HRA: as per norms.
