Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Environmental Sciences at Central University of Jammu

About the position

Central University of Jammu invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Environmental Sciences. The post is under the Indo-Swiss Joint Research Project "Ice nucleating particles and cloud condensation nuclei properties in the North-Western Himalayas (ICE-CRUNCH)", done with ETH Zurich. It sits in the Department of Environmental Sciences, and the Principal Investigator is Dr. Shweta Yadav. The post is on contract for one year or until the project ends, whichever is earlier. The project is funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).

Eligibility

• M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences / Atmospheric Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks.
• NET/GATE examination qualified.
• Desirable: in-depth knowledge of aerosol measurement techniques and data analysis using MATLAB, Python or similar software or languages. Such candidates will be given preference.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 37,000 + 8% HRA (consolidated monthly fellowship).
