Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF), Life Sciences at inStem Bengaluru

About the position

BRIC-inStem, Bengaluru invites applications for one Postdoctoral Fellow position in life sciences. The post is in the Epigenome Editing Lab of Dr. Barun Mahata, Scientist-D. The work covers tools to study and change the mammalian epigenome, transcriptome and epitranscriptome. The appointment is contractual for 11 months and may be renewed based on requirement, progress review and grant.

Eligibility

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biotechnology or any branch of Life Sciences.
• Age limit: 40 years.
• Candidates with a strong background in cell and molecular biology are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in molecular cloning, cell culture, stem cell biology, qPCR, Western blotting, ChIP and CRISPR/Cas9 will be an asset.
• Experience in RNA engineering, protein design, orthogonal small Cas proteins and bioinformatics will be an added advantage.

Fellowship / pay

• Rs. 58,000/ + 27% HRA per month.
• The Institute can fix the consolidated salary lower or higher within the given range.
• No PF, pension, gratuity or medical allowance applies.
