Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF), Mechanical / Aerospace / Electrical / Energy Technology at IIT Kanpur

About the position

IIT Kanpur invites applications for a Project Post-Doctoral Fellow in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Energy Technology. The role covers field installation of a wind and solar hybrid system and setting up an Energy Technology laboratory at Ladakh. It also includes admissions and administrative work for Sindhu Central University (SCU) students placed at IIT Kanpur. The position is currently till 31 March 2029.

Eligibility

• Ph.D from a reputed university or institute in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Energy Technology.
• An excellent track record and publications or patents in a research area relevant to the project.
• Related work experience: more than 2 years.
• Age limit: maximum 40 years.
• Necessary attributes: knowledge of wind and hydro-turbines, force measurement, flow visualization, wind tunnel measurement and particle image velocimetry. Good written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong project management skills. Good knowledge of MS Office.

Fellowship / pay

• Salary Range: 60000-5000-85000.
• Remuneration will be as per IIT Kanpur norms and the candidate's experience.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
