About the position

IIT Kanpur invites applications for the post of Senior Project Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. There are 2 posts. The Principal Investigator is Sarvesh Mishra, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering. The position is temporary and coterminous with the project.

Eligibility

• Essential: B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/Computer Science & Engineering + 02 years' experience or GATE qualified.
• Desirable: Experience in one of the following domains: wear monitoring, metal forming, or optimization algorithms.
• Desirable: Willingness to travel to industrial plant sites for data collection and field testing, as the project involves active collaboration with industrial partners.

Fellowship / pay

• Salary range: INR 21600 (21600-1800-54000)
• Duration: initially 01 year, with a provision to extend for 02 years based on satisfactory performance.
