Senior Project Associate (Senior PAT), Chemistry at CSIR-CSMCRI Bhavnagar

About the position

CSIR-CSMCRI Bhavnagar invites applications for one Senior Project Associate (Senior PAT) post. The subject area is natural products and pharmaceutical chemistry. The post is under Project No. HCP0024 (III), WP-7, titled "Bioprospecting of Seaweeds and Employing Forward Genetic Approaches to Target Identification of Bio-actives Derived from Seaweeds". The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility

• Masters in Natural / Pharmaceutical Sciences with specialization in Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Phytochemistry / Organic Chemistry / Natural Products / Pharmacognosy / Microbiology / Biotechnology, and 3 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
• OR Doctoral Degree in Science / Pharma with specialization in Phytochemistry / Natural Products / Pharmacognosy / Organic Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology.
• Upper age limit: 40 years as on the last date of receipt of applications. Age relaxation as per rules.
• Candidates with experience in extraction, chromatographic separation, dereplication and structure elucidation of small molecules from natural sources using UV, IR, NMR and MS will be preferred.
• Contractual work experience will not be counted as experience.

Fellowship / pay

Rs 42000 + HRA as admissible. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
