About the position

IIT Indore invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Ministry of Education funded research project. The project is titled Development of Mixed Phase Layered Oxide Cathodes for Sodium-Ion Batteries. The post is in the Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science department. The appointment runs till 28 May 2027.

Eligibility

• Essential: MSc or MTech in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Ceramics Engineering, Polymer Science or Solid State Physics.
• Candidates who have qualified NET or GATE will be given preference.
• Desirable: experience in synthesis of inorganic materials; crystal structure and microstructure determination using powder XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman spectroscopy and similar; basic electrochemistry characterization.

Fellowship / pay

Consolidated salary of Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA (if applicable).
