Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Petroleum Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

About the position

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I in Petroleum Engineering. The post is under the ESSAR Oil and Gas Ltd sponsored project on the impact of injection fluids on the performance of a producing Coal Bed Methane (CBM) reservoir in the Raniganj East Block. The Principal Investigator is Prof. Archana, Department of Petroleum Engineering. Project tenure is 13 months or end of the project.

Eligibility

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course, selected through any one of the following:

• a. National Eligibility Tests: CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
• b. A selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Desirable: Experience/knowledge in the relevant fields.

Age: The upper age limit is 28 years at the time of appointment. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer)/Female candidates as per GOI rules.

Fellowship / pay

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- for scholars selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or (b) a selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
• Project Associate-I: Rs. 30,000/- for others who do not fall under the above.
