Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Physics at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

About the position

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad invites applications for one ANRF Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Physics. The post is under the ANRF PMECRG project "Complexity-Aware Hamiltonian Engineering for Non-Ergodic Quantum Dynamics". The Principal Investigator is Dr. Sudipto Singha Roy. The project runs till 02/09/2029 or is co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. Appointment is for a maximum of three years or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility

• Essential: M.Sc. (Physics) with 1st class or minimum 60% marks / 6.0 CGPA (if class is not awarded).
• Essential: Valid CSIR-UGC NET (including LS) or GATE qualification.
• Desirable: Knowledge of quantum mechanics and quantum many-body physics; programming experience (Python/Julia/C++); familiarity with numerical methods for quantum dynamics.
• Age: As per ANRF norms. Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per GOI norms.

Fellowship / pay

• JRF: ₹37,000/- PM + admissible HRA if staying outside the campus, for the first two years.
• SRF: ₹42,000/- PM + admissible HRA if staying outside the campus, in the third year.
• Upgradation from JRF to SRF and SRF conditions are as per DST O.M. No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26.06.2023.
