Project Associate (PA), Life Sciences at NABI Mohali

About the position

BRIC-NABI Mohali is recruiting one Project Associate I for the project "Engineering methanol-free Pichia pastoris system for sustainable protein production" (GAP-97). The post is under Principal Investigator Dr. Sandeep Kumar (Scientist C) in the Food and Nutritional Biotechnology division. The role involves strain engineering of Pichia pastoris, focused on developing methanol-free induction systems.

Eligibility

Master's degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Science/Molecular Biology. The candidate must have qualified in one of the national-level examinations (CSIR-UGC-NET or GATE); candidates qualified in other national-level exams conducted by central government departments/agencies/institutions are also eligible for interview. Desirable experience in molecular techniques, yeast PCR, gene editing, CRISPR-Cas, microbial fermentation and protein purification. Age limit 35 years as on the date of interview, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/women as per GOI instructions.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA.
