Project Associate, Chemistry at NIT Silchar

About the position

NIT Silchar invites applications for one temporary Project Associate-I post in the Department of Chemistry. The position is under an ANRF (Government of India) sponsored project on switchable (semi)conductors, with Dr. Papri as the Principal Investigator. The post is initially for 12 months, extendable until project completion subject to funds and performance review.

Eligibility

Basic knowledge in Organic Chemistry and prior experience in organic synthesis and characterization is desirable. Candidates should be qualified through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or through a selection process via National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

Fellowship / pay

Rs.37,000/- + HRA for scholars selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship), GATE, or equivalent National Level examinations. Rs.30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under the above category. HRA as per Project/Institute norms.
