Project Assistant (PA), Mathematics and Computer Science at NIT Karnataka Surathkal

About the position

NIT Karnataka, Surathkal invites applications for a Project Assistant. The post is in the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences (MACS). The project is "Vision-Based Pose Estimation for Chaser-Target Satellite Operations". The Principal Investigator is Dr. Mahima, Assistant Professor (Grade-II). The appointment is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility

• M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or any other relevant Post Graduate (PG) degree, or M.Sc in Mathematics/Computer Science, with at least 6.5/10 CGPA or First-Class Division from a recognized technical institute or university as a full-time programme.
• Or B.Tech in CSE or other relevant Under Graduate (UG) degree with at least 6.5/10 CGPA or First-Class Division from a recognized institute or university as a full-time programme.
• Indian National candidates only.
• GATE/UGC-NET score card to be attached if applicable.
• Candidates already employed must produce a relieving certificate if selected.

Fellowship / pay

• GATE/UGC-NET fellowship: NA
• Non-GATE/UGC-NET: ₹10,000 + HRA ₹2,000 = ₹12,000 per month
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the written test or interview.
• The project runs in phases. Performance is reviewed every two months. Continuation depends on satisfactory progress.
