About the position
Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bengaluru invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellow positions open to candidates with a PhD in physics-related areas. The notice does not name a specific department, principal investigator or number of posts, as this is a standing, institute-wide postdoctoral scheme. The appointment is for a maximum of three years, with annual extensions based on internal assessment. Selected fellows take part in the Institute's academic activities and research groups but have no teaching duties.

Eligibility
Candidates should hold a PhD. Those who have not yet completed all PhD requirements (for example, successful thesis defence) may still apply, but will be paid at a lower fellowship rate until completion.
Fellowship / pay
Selected Postdoctoral Fellows are paid a fellowship of ₹58,000 to ₹67,000 plus appropriate HRA as admissible, depending on experience. Candidates yet to complete PhD requirements are paid ₹48,000 plus appropriate HRA until such requirements are met. The maximum tenure is 3 years with annual extensions based on internal assessment.
