About the position

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow invites applications for Project Associate-I / Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Environmental Science. The post is under an Anushandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored project on hydrological mapping of arsenic and fluoride in the Ganga-Gomti Doab. The Principal Investigator is Prof. Narendra Kumar of the Department of Environmental Science. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project. The number of posts is not stated.

Eligibility

• Essential: M.Sc. in Geology / Earth Science / Environmental Science / Life Sciences.
• Desirable: good knowledge, experience or publications in analytical or microbial techniques used in water and sediment analysis.
• Age limit: as per ANRF guidelines.
• All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
• Duration: initially one year, extendable for two (1+1) more years or till completion of the project, whichever is later, based on satisfactory performance.

Fellowship / pay

• Rs. 37,000/- + HRA for scholars selected through CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), or through national level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
• Rs. 30,000/- + HRA for others.
• No TA/DA is paid for the interview.
