Research Associate (RA), Mechanical Engineering at IIITDM Jabalpur

About the position

IIITDM Jabalpur invites applications for Project Research Scientist (Non-medical) on an ICMR sponsored project. The project is titled "Multimodal Artificial Intelligence-based early-stage Prediction of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) by integrating Dietary Habits, Psychosocial Factors, and Image Analysis". There is 1 post, based at PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur. The principal investigator is Prof. Vijay Kumar Gupta, Mechanical Engineering. The post is temporary, for one year initially. It is renewable each year up to a maximum of four years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility

• M.Tech. OR a postgraduate engineering degree including integrated PG degrees (preferably in Mechanical Engineering).
• Preference to candidates qualified in GATE/NET.
• Preference to candidates with good knowledge of Finite Element Modelling and analysis, AI/ML and biomedical engineering, particularly related to TMJ.
• Age limit: 35 years on the last date of application.
• Age relaxation up to 5 years may be granted for experience in a Government research organisation, case by case.
• The selected candidate can register for a regular PhD programme (PS category) at IIITDM Jabalpur as per Institute norms.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 56,000/- per month plus accommodation (if available) or HRA. Salary will be enhanced after two years on the recommendation of a committee. Increment of 5% on initial emoluments after every two years, subject to performance review. No TA/DA for the interview.
