Project Associate-I (PA-I) / Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Life Sciences at IISER Tirupati

About the position

IISER Tirupati invites applications for one post of Project Associate I / Junior Research Fellow in Life Sciences. The post is under the DBT, MoST, Govt. of India funded project "Enhancing regeneration and editing efficiency in groundnut and pigeonpea for trait improvement". The Principal Investigator is Dr. Swarup Roy Choudhury (Project Code 30325207). The post is purely on contract and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility

• Essential: M.Sc. in Botany / Life sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Agricultural sciences / Plant sciences (OR) equivalent degree.
• Desirable: 2 years' experience in Plant Tissue culture and Plant Molecular Biology.
• Age: not more than 30 years as on the closing date of the advertisement.
• Indian nationals only. Candidates awaiting final examination results are not eligible.

Fellowship / pay

• I. Rs. 37,000/- + 10% HRA per month based on valid CSIR / UGC-JRF / NET / GATE / Qualified National Level Test conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies.
• II. Rs. 30,000/- + 10% HRA per month for others who do not fall under (I).
• Tenure: initial offer for six months, extendable subject to the project.
