Research Associate (RA), Life Sciences at NII Delhi

About the position

The National Institute of Immunology (NII), Delhi, invites applications for one Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) position in Life Sciences. The post is in the Integrative Structural Biology Laboratory (ISBL). The Project Investigator is Dr. G. Senthil Kumar, Staff Scientist-V. The project is "Nanobodies as therapeutics and diagnostics for CHIKV infection", funded by NOHM. The duration is 6 months.

Eligibility

• Must have: a Post Graduate Degree, with at least 3 years of research experience in laboratory settings.
• Desirable: a Ph.D. in Chemical or Biological Sciences would be preferable. The candidate should have demonstrated aptitude through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in at least one of: molecular biology, cell biology (bacterial and mammalian cell culture), protein biochemistry, crystallography and animal handling.
• Job description: the PRS-I will perform cloning, overexpression, purification, in vitro studies and protein crystallization for structure determination.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 56,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (as per funding agency norms).
