Project Associate-II (PA-II), Mechanical at CSIR-CMERI Durgapur

About the position

CSIR-CMERI Centre of Excellence for Farm Machinery (CoEFM), Ludhiana, invites candidates for Project Associate-II. The posts are under R&D projects on Smart Farm Machines and Technologies. Disciplines include Mechanical, Agricultural, Mechatronics, Computer Science and Electronics. Selection is by walk-in interview.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical / Agricultural / Mechatronics / Computer Science / Electronics from a recognized university or equivalent, and 2 years' experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services.
• OR Masters / Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the same disciplines from a recognized university.
• A second group of posts lists Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science and Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Information Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Mechatronics with 2 years' R&D experience, or the corresponding Masters degree.
• Desirable: proficiency in mechanical design, CAD/CAE tools, prototype development and validation of agricultural machinery. OR programming knowledge in C/C++/Python for image processing and AI in agriculture. For the second group: working knowledge of Mechatronics/Robotics system design.
• Age limit and qualification are reckoned on the date of interview. Age relaxation as per Government of India / CSIR rules.
• Candidates with 6 years or more of engagement in CSIR labs are not eligible.

Fellowship / pay

• (i) Rs. 35,000 + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship / assistant professorship, or GATE, or national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent.
• (ii) Rs. 28,000 + HRA for others.
• Tenure is co-terminus with the project and may be extended or curtailed.
