Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Vegetable Science at ICAR-IARI Delhi

About the position

ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, invites applications for one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) post in Vegetable Science. The post is under the PPV&FRA funded project on DUS testing in Lettuce and Summer squash. It is purely contractual. It is based in the Division of Vegetable Science.

Eligibility

• Master degree in Vegetable Science / Horticulture / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Plant Biotechnology with 4 years or 5 years of Bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with a post graduate degree with 3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Master degree should have NET qualification as mentioned in ICAR OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 13-07-2015 and OM dated 09-10-2015, or 2 years of research experience (this part of the text is partly unreadable).
• Desirable: experience in handling plant growth and yield experiments, crop data recording and basic statistical analysis in vegetable crops related to DUS testing.
• Age: minimum 21 years, maximum 35 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women, three years for OBC.

Fellowship / pay

• ₹37,000 + HRA for I and II year.
• ₹42,000 + HRA for III year onwards.
• HRA as per existing Central Government rates for the city.
• Engagement is for one year or till the project ends, whichever is earlier.
