• B.Tech. / B.Pharm. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.Sc. / MCA / MBA / M.Com. or equivalent, with a qualifying score in GATE / GPAT / CAT / NET-PhD only / NET (Lectureship/Assistant Prof.) / NET-JRF / CSIR NET / ICMR-JRF, as applicable. GRE/GMAT is also considered if the earlier degree was done outside India.
• Holders of M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.Sc. / MCA / MBA / M.Com. or equivalent without a national level exam must appear for the IIITA-PET.
• At least 60% (PG) cumulatively or 6 CGPI on a scale of 10 at the time of application. Relaxation as per GOI norms.
• Direct admission after 4 year UG: at least 70% or 7 CGPI at the time of application.
• Stage I is exempted for GATE / NET and other national level exam qualified candidates. Working Professionals are exempted from Stage I and called directly for interview.
• A candidate without financial support from the Institute or another funding agency is not allowed to pursue PhD (not applicable to working professionals).
