Assistant Professor (Grade II), Various Specializations at IIM Kozhikode

About the position

This is a faculty vacancy for Assistant Professor (Grade II) at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode), intended for fresh PhD holders or those with limited post PhD experience. The post is open across several areas: Strategic Management, Finance Accounting and Control, Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources, Humanities and Liberal Arts in Management (Corporate Law, Psychology), Decision Sciences and Operations Management (Mathematics), and Information Systems (Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence). A candidate may apply under only one area of specialization. Seminar and interview will be held at the IIMK Kozhikode or Kochi campus.

Eligibility

Minimum PhD or equivalent degree in the appropriate subject with first class or equivalent (overall 60 percent or above) at the preceding degree and an excellent academic record throughout. Candidates must be a significant contributor in at least one published journal in their area of specialization classified as A or above in the latest ABDC ranking, 3 or above in the latest ABS ranking, or Q1 or Q2 as per the latest Web of Science ranking. Fresh PhD holders, or those with less than 3 years of teaching or equivalent research/industrial experience, may apply; they may be appointed on contract basis and placed at Pay Level 10 or 11 depending on experience, with later regularization as per Institute rules. PhD must be from a university ranked in at least one of FT Global Rankings, QS World Rankings, THE World Rankings, or NIRF (within the top 50 in Management, Overall, University, Research, Engineering or Law categories).

Fellowship / pay

Pay Level 10 or 11, as per Institute norms, on contract basis pending regularization.
