Research Associate (RA), Physics at IISER Bhopal

About the position

IISER Bhopal invites applications from Indian nationals for Project Scientist-I in a Physics project. The project is "Diamond quantum defects based sensing", sponsored by Qmet Technology Foundation. It develops tools and techniques that use atom-like defects in diamond as quantum sensors. The duration is twelve months. The Principal Investigator is Dr. Phani Kumar.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be Indian nationals.
• Essential: PhD in Physics/EE with good academic record.
• Preferred: experience with 2D Materials, Optics, Photonics, Nanofabrication, Quantum Information, Solid-state NMR, Scanning Probe Microscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy, Magneto-optical Characterization Techniques, Cryogenics, Lock-in Techniques, Python Programming, Electron Spin Resonance, Quantum Optimal Control and Atomic Magnetometry.
• Preferred: expertise in designing, fabrication and testing of indigenous instruments in lasers and optics, low noise analog and digital electronics, FPGA and Arduino based systems, mechanical and software development, and magnet design.
