Research Associate (RA), Energy Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi

About the position

IIT Delhi invites applications for a Research Associate in the Department of Energy Science & Engineering. The post is on a sponsored project on mitigating foaming in flue gas desulfurization absorber units due to biomass co-firing in thermal power plants (RM0081G). The PI is Prof. S.K. Tyagi and the Co-PI is Prof. Vipin Kumar. The project runs for 18 months w.e.f. 1 Apr 2026.

Eligibility

Doctorate (Thermal/Mechanical/Energy/Chemical) with minimum 75% marks (UG/PG level). Preferably PhD work experience in Chemical Kinetics, Combustion Simulation and related areas. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates.

Fellowship / pay

₹58,000 pm (Consolidated). Appointment is on contract, renewable yearly or up to the project duration, whichever is earlier.
