Research Associate (RA), Hydro and Renewable Energy at IIT Roorkee

About the position

IIT Roorkee invites applications for a Research Associate for mechanical design of a model and prototype turbine. The post is in the Department of Hydro and Renewable Energy, under the MNRE (R&D Division) sponsored Centre of Excellence project on Ultra Low Head and Hydrokinetic Turbines. The Principal Investigator is Dr Arun Kumar. There is 1 post for 1 year or up to project completion.

Eligibility

• Indian nationals only.
• Mechanical design post: M Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline with experience in composite manufacturing and testing of hydro kinetic turbine.
• The Project Fellow / Research Associate post for potential assessment (see the JRF listing) also accepts Ph.D. or M. Tech. in Mechanical/Hydropower/Civil Engineering or relevant discipline with experience in potential assessment of renewable energy resources.
• Preference to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.

Fellowship / pay

Research Associate: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 75,000/- + HRA per month. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
