Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Electrical Engineering at IIT Roorkee

About the position

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the Department of Electrical Engineering. The post is under the sponsored research project "Adaptive Protection of Distribution Network Systems with DER Integration", led by Principal Investigator Prof. Manoj Tripathy and sponsored by GE Renewable Energy Technologies Private Ltd., India. The selected candidate will work on setting up a smart distribution network laboratory and developing adaptive protection algorithms, and will be enrolled for a Ph.D. during the project tenure.

Eligibility

M.E./M.Tech. (Electrical Engineering/Power System and equivalent branches), or B.Tech./B.E. with a valid GATE score. Desirable background: knowledge of Power System Protection, concepts of Microgrid, and Integration of DER.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 40,000/- per month (consolidated) for the first two years, and Rs. 45,000/- per month (consolidated) for the next two years.
