Research Associate (RA), Linguistics at IIT Indore

About the position

IIT Indore invites applications for one Research Associate (RA) in Linguistics. The post is in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. It is under ICSSR Project No. 02/2024-25/ICSSR/RP/PVTGS/GEN, titled "Assessing the Implementation of Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) among Kerala's PVTGs: Developing Language Teaching Modules based on NEP2020". The duration is five months and may be extended, subject to review. The position is strictly on-site.

Eligibility

• Post graduate in Linguistics / Applied Linguistics / Computational Linguistics / Digital Humanities / Computer Science / Data Science or an allied discipline (55% minimum) with NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D and two years research experience as a Research Assistant in any project.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, R, statistical / empirical data analysis (SPSS), NLP tools, web technologies (HTML, CSS/SASS/SCSS, JavaScript), and research-oriented academic / technical writing.
• Age limit: 35 years.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 47,000/- (Consolidated) per month, as per ICSSR norms.
