Research Associate (RA), Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science at IIT Indore

About the position

IIT Indore invites applications for a Research Associate (RA) in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science. The post is in an ANRF funded project titled "Development of Cost-effective and High-Performance Sodium-ion Batteries for Scalable Energy Storage". The appointment is for 1 year and can be extended for one more year by mutual consent. The number of posts is not stated.

Eligibility

• Essential: Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, with demonstrated experience in cathode materials for Na-ion batteries.
• Candidates with a good publication record in Li/Na-ion batteries will be given preference.
• Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are yet to get the degree are also eligible.
• Desirable: experience with layered oxides synthesis and electrochemical characterization techniques.
• Desirable: proven expertise in assembly, testing and analysis of pouch-type Na-ion full cells.
• Desirable: excellent research publications in Li/Na-ion battery materials.
• Desirable: good communication skills and a strong command of spoken and written English.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 58,000/- per month + HRA (if applicable).
