Research Associate (RA), Agricultural and Food Engineering at IIT Kharagpur

About the position

IIT Kharagpur invites applications for two Research Associate posts in the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering. The posts are under the AICRP on Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology (salaries). The Principal Investigator is Kanishka Bhunia. The sponsor is the All India Co-Ordinated Research Project on Post Harvest Technology (CIPHET, ICAR, Ludhiana). Tenure is 12 months or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility

• Essential: Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree, or 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
• Desired: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Agricultural Engineering/Food Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Instrumentation, or 3 years of such experience after ME/M.Tech in the same fields with at least one SCI research paper.
• Desired experience: interdisciplinary research experience in designing and developing food processing machinery and its validation with field trials.
• Age limit: 35.

Fellowship / pay

Upto Rs.67000 (depending upon qualification & experience). Proposed salary: Rs. 67000 per month for Ph.D. holders and Rs. 61000 per month for M. Tech. holders. Application fee: NIL.
