Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Electronics at IIT Roorkee

About the position

IIT Roorkee invites applications for two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions in Electronics. The posts are in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The project is "Vortex Electromagnetic Waves and Their Use for Defense and Civilian Applications", sponsored by ANRF (J C Bose Grant 2026). The Principal Investigator is Prof. Amalendu Patnaik. Only Indian nationals can apply.

Eligibility

• ME/M.Tech. (RF and Microwave Engineering / Communication Systems / Signal Processing or equivalent), or M.Sc. (Electronics).
• Candidates should have qualified GATE/NET.
• Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
• Note: the selected candidate may get an opportunity for PhD admission.

Fellowship / pay

• Rs. 37000 for the first two years.
• Rs. 42000 from the 3rd year to the 5th year.
• Applicable HRA is payable.
• Duration: initially 1 year, extendable based on performance.
