Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at IIT Roorkee

About the position

IIT Roorkee invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in Mechanical Engineering. The post is in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. The Principal Investigator is Prof. Indra Vir Singh. The project is titled "Effect of Hygroscopic Ageing on the Mechanical and Fracture-Fatigue Behaviour of Sandwich Composites for Armament Applications" and is sponsored by the Armament Research Board, DRDO, Delhi.

Eligibility

• Indian nationals only.
• (a) B.Tech. in Mechanical Engg./Production Engg./Aerospace Engg./Equivalent
• (b) ME/M.Tech in Machine Design/Applied Mechanics/Aerospace Engg./Equivalent
• (c) GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.
• Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
• Candidates must make sure they are eligible before appearing for the interview.

Fellowship / pay

Rs. 37,000 pm.

The selected candidate will get an opportunity to pursue a PhD. After the project, the PhD candidate will be given an MHRD fellowship as per Institute policy.
