Project Associate-I (PA-I), Electronics and Communication Engineering at North-Eastern Hill University

About the position

North-Eastern Hill University invites applications for one Project Associate-I post in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. The post is under a MeitY sponsored research project on early stage identification of Red Spider Mite (Oligonychus coffeae) attack in tea gardens of North Eastern States of India using an ASIC based detector and an electronic repellent. The appointment is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility

• Essential qualification: B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Desirable: experience in Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design or System on Chip (SoC) level design.
• Upper age limit is 35 years (age relaxation of 5 years for candidates in relaxable categories).
• Higher pay applies to scholars selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests, CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship), or GATE, or (b) a selection process through national examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.

Fellowship / pay

• ₹31,000/- + HRA to scholars selected through the national eligibility tests listed above.
• HRA only for others who do not fall under that category.
• Salary is subject to availability of project funds.
