Project Associate-I (PA-I), Food Science and Postharvest Technology at ICAR-IARI Delhi

About the position

ICAR-IARI, New Delhi invites applications for one post of Project Associate-I in the Division of Food Science and Postharvest Technology. The post is in the DBT funded project "Extraction and non chemical functionalization of pea pod protein for development of clean label smart food additives". It is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project. Selection is by walk-in interview.

Eligibility

• Essential: Master's degree in Food Science / Food Science and Technology / Food Technology / Biochemistry.
• Desirable: hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, food product development and basic computer skills.
• Age limit: maximum 35 years. Relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women, three years for OBC.
• Higher pay band applies to scholars selected through CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), GATE, or a national level examination conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
• Only candidates meeting the essential qualifications will be interviewed.

Fellowship / pay

• ₹31,000/- + HRA for scholars selected through (a) CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or (b) a selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
• ₹25,000/- + HRA for others.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

How to apply

1. Fill the application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) and the declaration (Annexure-II).
2. Report on 16 Nov 2026 at 9:30 AM to the Division of Food Science and Postharvest Technology, NRL Building 3rd floor, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-110012.
3. Bring two copies of the filled application form, two passport-size photographs and one set of self-attested photocopies of certificates, mark-sheets and experience proof.
4. Bring original documents for verification.
5. Bring an NOC from the current employer, if working.
6. Declare any near or distant relative employed at ICAR/IARI as per the notice.
